UT2004Mi v2.01 (Windows)(1.1M zip) (from Swedix, check for updates). It installs/deinstalls maps, mods and skins. Cleans the cache, manages demos and can compress/decompress .uz-files. Do-it-yourself Applescript code for making your own mod launcher
The instructions are in the code. Open it in Script Editor, change three things at the very top, then save as an application. That's all. You should end up with a dedicated launcher for any BF1942 mod. Please test it out.

UPDATE: INI fixed in this version. If you downloaded the v5 earlier click here for the fixed tacticalopsX.ini. All I did was set [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] UseMultiTexture=1 and DoPreCache=0. By Furware. To see what it looks like, see the screencaps here. A "utility for checking who of your TO-pals is currently playing on which of your favorite TO-servers. You can organize your favorite servers and players in seperate lists and let TO-Watcher check them in a specified interval (or only manually). Further on you can set the way TO-Watcher should notify you about players joining or leaving servers visually or audibly and join the particular server automatically by double-clicking into the server list, or on the nickname of the player you want to play with.

UT 436 Manual Patch (25.7M rar) If you don't have classic mode enabled for your OS X, you can't use Epic's 436 patch because it's a classic application. Use this instead. The executables in this set are for mac os9 only (UT 436 and Umod installer 1.1)-- to play in OS X, use UT X P3 .

Tactical Ops Map Manager 2.0. License: Shareware, Price: $7, Expires after 30 days. Gives users the ability to save large maps, textures, sounds and music files, instead of downloading them repeatedly. It also allows users to purge their tactical ops cache of unwanted files and remove other files that cause version mismatch errors. It prevents cache corruption by making sure the files in the user's cache are in sync with the files on the hard drive. I'd just open my cache folder and cache.ini to know which files to rename, but there you go. From pariahware.
UTilities 2.6.1 (OS 9) (468K .sit) Four utilities designed to help with common UT installation tasks. UTCacheCleaner - cleans UT Cache Folder & parses cache.ini to rename and move all Unreal Tournament maps to the Maps folder and other cache files to a newly created Downloads folder. UTInstaller - installs maps, skins, voice packs, and non-umod type mods/mutators. UTUninstaller -uninstalls files installed by UTInstaller. UTFileConverter - changes the file types of any UT file. Not needed for UT to work, but does add the nice icons to the files. Other mirrors at MGF.
UTPure Fix for Mac/Linux Clients: RC7C (500K zip) and All versions up to RC59 (2.3Mb zip). Also you might need Mac CSHP (900K sit). Mac & Linux clients often have a problem with "purity" when simply DLing anticheat components from the gameserver, so install these system .u files directly instead. When installing, make sure you clear out the same files from your Cache folder too. The RC59 fix is from Azazel at this thread at UnrealAdmin Forums, which is old and the download is now at the "previous versions" section. There might be more info at UTPure forums in this thread. If people playing UT still have problems with Umenu.u and UTmenu.u mismatches, I can host the correct windows versions of these files (note the TO versions are different from either of these!).
Santa's TacOps FAQ (option-click to download or click to view). Here it is, the one & only, but sort of an outdated version, but it includes lots of useful information, such as how to keybind complex commands in-game (including mac keyboard translations), some server setup issues, and of course an admin abuse section, should you want to do something like monster summoning, or creating a fully-automatic DE that does 99999 damage.

Internet Compatibility Fix 3.40 (TO-Scene.de: 15.5Mb): These files prevent system file mismatch errors in multiplayer. This is included in the 2.40 mod above, and the 3.40 patch at to-scene.de below. You probably do need this if used another installer set, or an old santa set with "m" after the version number. If you aren't sure, overwriting with these files can't hurt.
3.40 TO-TerrorMansion.unr.sit Different from the 3.32 and earlier version. Included in the santa V5 mod, above.Tactical Ops: AoT 3.40 Patch (TO-Scene.de: 104Mb) Will patch any 3.x version (3.10, 3.15, 3.32) to full compatibility with internet servers running TO 3.40 and TOST 4.173. You do NOT need the "internet compatibility fix" for this set. Note that this installer set is missing the 3.40 version of one map, download it above.INI files and misc helper files (260K): includes OS 9 and OS X launchers and INI files, extra mac icons, etc. Probably not useful in addition to the above, but there you go.
Coming: If there is a big request, I'll look for old versions of Tactical Ops, in particular 2.20, which still has a loyal following with internet servers.

Install over Unreal Tournament (OS 9/OS X) with v436 update (3.4Mb). If you aren't a member of Gamespy-Fileplanet, this may be an annoying download, but be thankful it's still up. Just scroll down to the nonmember download links. Then, update with the 3.40 patch above since no one plays 3.32. I'm not sure if this includes an OS 9 Tacops Launcher. I'm 99% certain that you will also need the texture fix files, which I will host if anyone needs them... but no one will, b/c you can just DL the 3.40 full mod at top.

The best version of tacops in some people's opinion. You will see some 2.2 servers on the internet, and of course there are 2.2-weaons mutators in 3.40, as well as part of the TOSTweapons.u addon.

Regarded by some as the last and greatest version of tacops, due to exact aim (no conefire). I doubt there are 1.6 servers out there. This was the first version that really put it together into a cohesive, fun playable game.

Before it was called TacticalOps:AoT, it was called SWAT. See what it was like back then. Looks like UT to me :)

Miscellaneous Small Downloads
Pict2ASCII (1.03) an old freeware OS9 app (273k .sit) that turns images (pict format) into ASCII art. One of the few reasons to go back to OS 9. (The main other being tacops). Reminds me of going to the public pay computer LAN lab at Lawrence Berkeley Labs in the late 70s or early 80s where we do 1337 things such as print out ascii art of mona lisa, captain kirk, or just play singleplayer games via dotmatrix printout. We'd take home a yellow roll of printouts and be happy kids. Here's a spam sample.
